(www.meowbarkblog.com) — My dear friend Alicia over at Celebrity Psychings penned a great article about PETA’s recent demands to the NFL regarding dog-fighting Atlanta Falcon Michael Vick.

In addition to a petition the organization is urging us all to sign, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) recently faxed a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell urging him to require fallen NFL star Michael Vick to undergo psychiatric evaluations and brain scans to determine whether or not Vick has antisocial personality disorder and/or irregularly sized brain parts and, based on the results, for Goodell himself to determine whether or not Vick fits the role model persona NFL players should.

Michael Vick Sentenced on Dogfighting Charges

Former Atlanta Falcons superstar Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison after being found guilty of running a dogfighting ring and killing underperforming dogs. The maximum possible sentence was 5 years, and federal sentencing guidelines recommended a sentence of only 12-18 months. In addition to the sentence and sanctions levvied against Vick, he also agreed to pay nearly $1M for the care of 54 pitbulls that were seized from his property.

Michael Vick Pleads Guilty to Dogfighting Conspiracy Charges

After his co-defendants entered their guilty pleas and agreed to testify against Michael Vick, the Atlanta Falcons quarterback didn’t have a lot of options left.
On Monday, he pleaded guilty to dogfighting conspiracy charges. (He originally entered a plea of not guilty on July 26.) According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch,
